Resiliente is the narrative of my journey from my birth in Mexico to my rebirth in Canada. I use self-portraits to render the journey and the challenges that I face as a non-binary. The emblems in each layer represent family, immigration, culture, race, land, diaspora, and self-love. To be resilient is overcome the obstacles in life and continue to grow.
