“Magnolias” is a piece that explores the concept of perseverance and home. After three years of going through big challenges as an immigrant, I persevered and found my place in Toronto. This piece is inspired by that feeling of finding and creating a beautiful place to call home. The iridescent background represents the change that sometimes life brings you but the magnolia tree will permanently stay.
